Hello. I have your submission on hold, as I suspect that L&PM Pocket as publisher should be replaced with the already-existing publisher L & PM (which is also how Amazon Brazil reports it). Additionally, I also think that L&PM Pocket should refer to the publication series Coleção L&PM Pocket instead, although I couldn't find proof that that is correct. Could you have a look and confirm? Thanks! MagicUnk 18:23, 8 January 2020 (EST)

Hi Erick
:Hello! According the publisher website is "L & PM editores" inside the "Coleção L&PM Pocket". Thanks, ErickSoares3 18:32, 8 January 2020 (EST)

::Thanks! I've approved and updated accordingly (no need to have subseries). The result is here. Hope you like it like this :) MagicUnk 18:48, 8 January 2020 (EST)

I'm holding your submission adding a note to 2389519. I was originally questioning why you had added the language Esperanto in a note but left the language field of the title as Portuguese. However, you also added a translator and the title is currently a parent title. If the title is a translation into Esperanto, we should make it a variant of a new title record in the original language.  If this is the parent title, the Esperanto translation should be added as a child record.  Then the new translated title record can be added to any publication records where it is contained.  Could you let me know if I'm misunderstanding something about what you're trying to accomplish with this edit?  Thanks.  --Ron ~ RtraceTalk 09:57, 3 January 2024 (EST)

:Hello! Like Annie said elsewhere (I think that in her talk page), since we can't create a submission for a title without a formal publication (physical or digital book), like is the case of the Esperanto translation, it would be ok to just cite it in the notes (like it happened in all the short stories of the "Reinações" and some additional "Sítio" works). The 1931 is the parent work (in Portuguese), while the translation was released last year. ErickSoares3 (talk) 18:31, 3 January 2024 (EST)

Does this contain any speculative fiction at all (comics not counted -- the author is a cartoonist after all so I have to ask)? If it does, they need to be listed (and I suspect the whole book will need to be marked as a non-genre as we do not need to index scientific experiments and other similar non-SF contents :) Annie 21:54, 10 March 2020 (EDT)

Hi, thanks for correcting the author entries. However, titles should have case regularized, which is not the case for this submission. Also, the date of publication (1st of January) - as you should be aware - is very unlikely, and can safely be assumed to have been erroneously added by some source. How shall we proceed with this? :The thing with the titles are because several like "Pequena Sereia" (The Little Mermaind), "Bela e a Fera" (Beauty and the Beast) and so on refers to characters names. We could regularize "Aladdin e a Lâmpada Maravilhosa", "Os Três Porquinhos", "O Príncipe Sapo", "João e o Pé de Feijão", "As Doze Princesas Dançarinas", "O Bravo Soldado de Chumbo", "O Alfaiate Valente" ("Alfaiate" is the character), "As Roupas Novas do Imperador" ("Imperador"/"Emperor"), "O Pequeno Polegar" ("Polegar is the character"), "A Pequena Vendedora de Fósforos", "Pele de Asno", "O Semideus Maui" ("Maui" is the character), "Sapatinhos Vermelhos", "Irmãozinho e Irmãzinha", "O Flautista de Hamelin" ("Hamelin" is a place, in this case), "Os Cisnes Selvagens", "Chicken Little", "A História dos Três Ursos", "As Três Irmãs", "O Rouxinol e o Imperador da China" (Rouxinol and Imperador are characters). Can you review the capitalization in this one? I believe Portuguese uses capital letters only for personal names but not for every noun. Thanks! Annie 19:12, 20 April 2020 (EDT)

I rejected both variants for two reasons:

* We do not know the exact title in the original language

* The author name is the same in both languages so we do not need a variant to move the story to the correct author.

Until we can find the correct titles, adding the variants does not add any new information or helps with how things look on pages - we can add the original language in the notes for example. Let me know if you disagree and I will recreate them (and/or discuss). As always - your input is welcome and if we determine that was the wrong place to do, I would correct it. Thanks for the understanding. Annie 12:15, 22 April 2020 (EDT)

:I will send an email to the publisher asking about informations in the stories that I couldn't find the originals (like the one by Charlotte Hapai). When they reply I will update. For Huan Mulan, I think that is the case of the original alphabet: 花木兰. ErickSoares3 14:17, 22 April 2020 (EDT)

Welcome!

Hello, ErickSoares3, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

As reinações de Narizinho

Hi Erick

I'm holding your submission adding a note to this title.

Hello!
I see. So the translation only appears on a website that is not eligible for inclusion as a webzine. That's OK then, and I'll approve the edit. Thanks for the explanation. --Ron ~ RtraceTalk 18:59, 3 January 2024 (EST)
