Welcome!

Hello, Delage, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Mhhutchins 16:01, 26 December 2012 (UTC)

Beyond Rue Morgue

Hi Delage, good job on your submission of Beyond Rue Morgue, which I've accepted with a couple of alterations and a couple of questions for you. As you have done a primary verification I'm assuming you have a copy of the book.

  1. I changed the binding type from "Paperback" to "pb", which is the standard code for entering standard-size paperbacks, however Amazon has the size as 20.1cm in height, which would make it a 'trade paperback', or "tp". Which would you think it is?
  2. Titan Books publications often have UK and US prices displayed, and Amazon has a UK list price of £7.99. Does this appear on the book alongside the US price? If so, you can add information like this to Note field as "Also priced £7.99".
  3. Regarding the cover image, at the moment ISFDB does not have permission from Titan Books to source images from their website, so I have replaced it with the image from Amazon, who have given us permission to do so.
  4. Your publication date of "2013-07-26" matches Amazon's date, however Titan Books' webpage for the publication has a date of 2013-08-01. A publisher's date will always trump an online seller's date, on the basis of it being somewhat more reliable. It's also worth noting in the Note field where the stated publication date information comes from, and if there is a date present on the copyright page of the book itself, always use that in preference to any other source.

Full details on all the above points (including how to link Amazon images) can be found in the New Pub help screen, which I'm sure you've already referred to. Thanks for contributing. PeteYoung 04:14, 17 October 2013 (UTC)

Straight from the Heart

I'm holding your submission to add a publication record for this anthology. It doesn't appear to be speculative fiction. If not, then it isn't eligible for inclusion in the database. Please respond here if you have further information that would help with the submission, or cancel the submission if you agree that it doesn't contain speculative fiction. Thanks.
