This page is for discussion of the display design of ISFDB. This includes things such as the basic layout of the screen, mobile/small screen layout, search result layout, and so on. Please try to keep each section focused. New sections can be started as needed.

Basic screen layout
There are currently the following parts on the left side of main site layout (they may be called something else in the code):

People have mentioned possible changes to how the data (publication, title, search results, etc.) is displayed in the main body, especially for mobile/small screens (see section below). How should it be changed? There are many database sites out there that use a variety of different layouts. Mobile/small screen layout
For this, the first thing I think we need to determine is a specific pixel width as reported by the browser at which point the display changes to the mobile layout. Data (publication, title, search results, etc.) and forms will need to be displayed differently to accommodate browsing and usage on a smaller screen. Thoughts and ideas on how that should be done?
