This looks great Mike. I was not aware of {{subst:welcome}} and had been using {{welcome}} which testing finds to leave the "{{welcome}}" itself in the wikitext while subst: causes it to expand and then gets inserted into the wikitext.
One question - how do you get the (talk) link in your signature? I suspect it's done in the Your nickname section of Special:Preferences#prefsection-0. --Marc Kupper 19:51, 17 Jan 2007 (CST)
