Thank you for adding Yellowknife. A couple of comments
- A Canadian price is entered in ISFDB as C$25.00 rather than "$25 CAD"
- Trade Paperbacks are entered as lower case tp rather than TP.
- I moved the synopsis you provided in the publication notes to the title record's synopsis.
I'm wondering if this is specfict. The publisher's description looks like an action genre. A book where a character tells a tall tail would not be specfict but one where the character is involved in a tall tail is. That said, the line is gray and ISFDB's "scope for what is considered specfict is fairly broad. Marc Kupper (talk) 19:00, 1 Mar 2008 (CST)
- "Distortion of reality" and "talking animals" would normally count as "in" by me, except I'm getting fed up with the number of children's books that qualify by the latter. Do these animals take acid? Come from another planet? Are from this planet but are mutating into a new master-race? Inquiring minds want a

- Given a copy can be had for a song I guess we can see if someone volunteers a summary. I took a scan - it's nearly all non-genre. I did not see how the talking animals at the end fit in with the rest of the story. Marc Kupper (talk) 01:25, 4 Mar 2008 (CST)
- Thanks Marc for the helpful comments. I do agree that the book is iffy as specfict, but on the other hand it does qualify under the terms "fabulist" and "magic realism." The fact is, the book does not fall easily into any category. BTW there is also a monster and some gnome-like fellows discovered underground pouring seams of gold. Restelluris 09:17, 6 Mar 2008 (CST)

- Telluris is the genitive case of a word you will recognize, Tellus. So, Res Telluris means "Things of the Earth." As you can see from our website, we are a very small publisher with an environmental focus. With regard to the raven, it is an official symbol of the city of Yellowknife, and in the novel there is a fellow who was raised by ravens! On a different note, I'd like to make another entry for Steve Zipp, a short story in a special issue of a Canadian literary magazine (Prairie Fire) that was devoted to specfict, but can't find a way to make a short story entry. - Yes, a story can only be entered as part of a publication. if it was in a magazine or a collection, that must be entred. If it was published separately, it is enterd as a "chapterbook" (which really ought to be "chapbook"). If the magazine was "devoted to specfict" we probably ought to have the whole thing here anyway. - It looks like it should all be included, but only as a one-off specfict edition. So no worries about creating a Wiki Page and deciding which articles to put into series. BLongley 13:19, 7 Mar 2008 (CST)

Prairie Fire
Thanks for submitting the contents of Prairie Fire! We are just now getting to it since the server was down for 8 days (sigh) and things are still in a state of flux.
