Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

Sourcing data

When adding or updating publication records on the ISFDB, you must provide the source for your data in the record's Note field if you don't own the publication, or otherwise do a primary verification of that record. There is a field in the entry form to indicate whther the source is primary or secondary. I've accepted this publication and added a source. How do I go about adding Blind Shadows to the Griffin & Price series, too?

Go to its title record here, and click the link "Edit Title Data" under the Editing Tools menu, and on the next screen add "Griffin & Price" into the Series field. Mhhutchins|talk 00:52, 14 November 2015 (UTC)

The Far Tower

I accepted your submission of The Far Tower, but made a couple of changes:

  • ISBN: The ISBN as submitted had an extra digit. I corrected it based on the publisher's website. I assume this was a typo, but if the publication actually did have 14 digits, please add a publication note regarding that.
  • Currency: I added ".00" as we use whole + decimal numbers.
  • Introduction: For generic titles like Introduction or Foreword, we add the publication title in parenthesis. This is because a given author could have many of these and it avoids confusion.
  • Notes on Contributors: I changed this to an essay based on the name. If it actually is a story, let me know.
  • Date: I found the month of printing on the publisher's website so updated that and added a pub note with the source.
