Dandelion Wine Revisited

In your submission, you seem to be stating that the essay, "Dandelion Wine Revisited" should be transliterated to "Dandelion Wine". Is this correct? The "Transliteration" field is for use with non-Latin languages to show the Romanization of the title. For example, サイコロ特攻隊 would be transliterated (or "romanized") as Saikoro Tokkōtai. The "Transliteration" field should not be used for titles already written in Roman letters.

The submission note states:

This essay begins: "Little did I know, as the old saying goes, that when publishing my "Dandelion Wine" story in Gourmet in 1953, I was starting a novel." Sir, I have the 1953 Gourmet, and the Bradbury Speaks essay is clearly and correctly based his story "Dandelion Wine," Gourmet, June 1953, pages 12-13, NOT Dandelion Wine Revisited in the June 1991 Gourmet.

Can you explain what you mean? The way I'm reading it, it seems like you're stating that Dandelion Wine (the novel) is based on the short story "Dandelion Wine" that first appeared in Gourmet in June 1953. Is this correct? If so, we agree. I don't think anyone here thinks the novel was based on the "Dandelion Wine Revisited" essay written nearly 40 years later. I've seen your second submission and acted upon it:
  • I've broken the link between Vin Revivere, or a Vintage Revisited and Dandelion Wine Revisted and corrected the date from the former. For the latter, which is known to us only because of its publication in an italian book, I've left the title notes refering to a 1991 publication in Gourmet.
Can you confirm that these chaages are what you intend us to do?

By the way, I DO have this June 2001 Gourmet in hand. I just never thought to look past the 1991 issue.

Gentlemen: I've found it!! "Vin Revivere, or a Vintage Revisited" appeared word for word in the September 2001 Gourmet, page 119 under the title "Dandelion Wine." Word for word!! And beside it, is the reprint of what he wrote for Gourmet in 1953 and is continued on page 131. This issue is was the 60th anniversary issue and they reprinted something from each decade. Ray's bit is his own new introduction to the 1953 story. So, the correct source for "Vin Revivere, or a Vintage Revisited" in Bradbury Speaks is Gourmet, September 2001. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Annehardin (talk • contribs) . 07:04, 31 July 2017 (EDT)
