From Tuck's Encyclopedia of Science Fiction and Fantasy:

A companion to Galaxy Science Fiction, started by Gold in emulation
of Unknown (Worlds). Although it printed some very good material, it
was never commercially successful, and the publication rate slowed
down before the magazine ceased. A paperback selection from its pages
was Beyond (9 stories, anonymously edited, Berkley: F712, 1963, 160pp,
      $0.50).

Tuck states that the title changes from "Beyond Fantasy Fiction" to "Beyond Fiction" with issue #9, but in fact it does not do so unequivocally. Issue #9 changes the title on the spine, the cover, and the top of the table of contents, but not in the copyright information in the masthead. Issue #10 is the same except that the top of the ToC again says "Beyond Fantasy Fiction". Clute/Nicholls and Clute/Grant do not give a title change, so the title is recorded here as "Beyond Fantasy Fiction" for the whole run.
