A quick check would suggest that the variant created is backwards(see authors page[1]). If you like I can fix it or I can give you directions on how to break a variant and you can resubmit. Thank!Kraang 13:09, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
Non-English editions
Currently, as described in Help:How to enter foreign editions these don't get separate bibliography pages (title records) but are instead simply entered as publications under the main title. Even when there is no change of language, a title is often dictated by an editor or publisher, and may be actively disliked by the author. A well-known example is Poul Anderson's War of the Wing-Men: the author's preferred title is The Man Who Counts. Another is Isaac' Asimov's "Green Patches" which was originally published as "Misbegotten Missionary", a title Asimov strongly disliked, according to his discussion of the story in Nightfall and Other Stories. So users need to know that any title may not be the title favored by the author, and may not even have been discussed with the author.
All that said, we haven't done all that much with non-English-language publications yet, and we could always discuss how they should be handled. In my view, such a discussion would be best held on the Rules and standards discussions page -- just start a new topic (section) there when and if you want to raise the issue for general discussion. -DES Talk 16:15, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
