I was wondering if you had any evidence that gives the Publication Date as 2000-00-00? I can't ask the PV as he is not longer active. Ice Prophet

In this copy of Ice Prophet, you list the price as $3.75 Canadian. My copy has the U.S. price of 2.95 on the cover, but states it is printed in Canada. The image on the publication is from the U.S. edition so shows the same $2.95. Can you check your copy for cover price and confirm. If you can, I'll add a note for copies with incorrect cover. Yes, I can confirm that my front cover has "Ballantine/30790/$3.75" as a first line. The back cover also has a barcode of 070999003757 and the spine has 345-30790-9-375. Thinking about it, it's possible that the $3.75 is a US price and this is just a later printing. I assume it was CAN because of the higher price and the fact that it was printed in Canada, but that may not be valid in the light of your copy.--AliHarlow 12:18, 8 February 2017 (UTC)

There's three publications listed - a US at 2.95, your Canadian at 3.75 and a third printing (and identified as such) in US for 2.95. Personally, I doubt it went to more printings than these three. The disparity in prices between US and Canada is pretty standard. My guess is that my copy is the same text a yours (printed in Canada) but with a US cover on it by mistake. Alternatively, they took leftover Canadian printings and sold them in US with US cover. As a purist, I'll enter my copy with my guesses as to what happened. Thanks for checking. Medusa: A Tiger by the Tail

My copy of Medusa: a Tiger by the Tail has “Printed in Canada” on the copyright page. It does have “Cover printed in USA” on the back cover. The Canadian edition has a price of C$3.50, whereas mine has a price of $2.95. If your copy has “Printed in the US” then I’ll create another copy. The copyright page on my copy has “Manufactured in the United States of America” just below the ISBN number. There is no “Printed in Canada” on the copyright page. The blurb above says:

All rights reserved under International and Pan-American Copyright Conventions. Published in the United States by Ballantine Books, a division of Random House, Inc. New York, and simultaneously in Canada by Random House of Canada Limited, Toronto.

The price on the front cover, encoded in the ISBN on the spine and in the barcode on the back cover is £2.95.

The back cover also has “Cover printed in USA.”
