A comment on this blog says "... but I'm also deeply fond of the covers that John Schoenherr painted for Norton -- Moon of Three Rings, Beast Master, Star Gate...." John Schoenherr was e-mailed 16 March 2010 to confirm this but we never heard back.
Another web site [Andre Norton Books], credits Jack Gaughan but this painting does not seem to be his style.
