Cover artist
The cover artist is not credited and a signature does not seem to be visible. A comment on this blog says "... but I'm also deeply fond of the covers that John Schoenherr painted for Norton -- Moon of Three Rings, Beast Master, Star Gate...." John Schoenherr was e-mailed 16 March 2010 to confirm this but we never heard back.
Another web site, Andre Norton Books, credits Jack Gaughan but this painting does not seem to be his style nor are his "JG" or "Gaughan" signature visible.
Note that once the cover artist has been identified that we can also update the publication record for the Ace 78072 edition.
