The Cyberiad: Fables for the Cybernetic Age

Hello, I've put your submission on hold as your publication is very likely (as per price) a later printing than this 1977 one and so not to be dated 1977. Sure, I'll have to check after work this evening. I thought I had listed it correctly, Futura 1st, an Orbit book. I'll also try to get you that photo as well. I have both copies in front of me. The problem is that we are both correct. The copyright page is identical for both books. Both say an Orbit book at top, First Futura Publications Edition 1977. The price on the Burns cover is U.K. 80p, the price on the Tybus cover is 90p. How do I upload my scan without eliminating the present image? Thanks. Thanks for having a look. The 90p is likely a second printing where the copyright page hadn't been updated. I've approved your submisison with a few changes: publisher set to "Orbit", publication series blanked (for example Ace Double is a publication series of Ace), price set to "£0.95" (see Help pages), and inserted notes. The result is here, you can now upload your scan there and add the contents (use the top screen of "Import Content" with "193781" as parameter to achieve this quickly). Hello, when you change or add data to verified publications, our etiquette requires that you notify the active PV (Primary Verifiers) of the publication according to their preferences (situated on top of their talk page). Well, the initial step would be to ' click the link labeled "Upload cover scan" '. It seems that you didn't do that, since otherwise the template would have been generated automatically. Yes, the image Hauck just posted was rejected but I did follow the upload scan instructions. I attempted to upload a higher quality scan yesterday but it didn't prepopulate the data so I'm not sure what happened. The second scan is much better. IMHO it's useless to try to upload a "better" image (you're close to our size limits). Just edit the publication record here by giving the URL of the image (http://www.isfdb.org/wiki/images/3/39/WZRDFRTHSQ1971.jpg). Hauck 16:42, 27 September 2016 (UTC)

Hello, I've approved your submission but regularized publisher to already existing Martinez Roca,note that the publication series should perhaps be found into the existing ones for this publisher (perhaps this one?). I've also deleted the notes as they're transient and should go in the "Note to Modrator" field and changed the artist's name to canonical as per your notes for the image (that I've uploaded for you). Now about this question - if I understand correctly, you have the same book in your hands (not a scan of a cover but the actual book) and it has a different cover? Is that the case? If so, and considering that the PV is not active, we have a bit of a problem. Which is the "1975 Arrow edition" edition? Any chance that they somehow got mixed up? Annie 18:46, 23 April 2018 (EDT)

I believe the cover I previously posted for the 67' edition is actually the 75' edition when I compare the fonts/cover schemes for Arrow from the different years. I did own that book at the time so I'm sure that I read whatever copyright info was there correctly. I now have a different version which looks older and consistent with the other Arrow Stoker from 67' in the database that also says 1967 third impression. So I think it would be accurate to move the first image to the 75' Arrow edition or remove it from this one, and allow me to upload my current cover. My only way to move it is to upload it in the proper place - which you can also do :). I do not see a '75 Arrow edition here thus me asking which edition you mean? If you mean the '74 one, it does not have a cover yet so upload this one there, edit the pub to add it, then upload the correct one here and I can delete the now not needed one. You had it as an anthology, but if it was an anthology Bram Stoker would at max only have a part of the stories by himself -that is not the case here.
