Welcome!

Hello, Tybalt, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Hauck 12:08, 8 May 2013 (UTC)

Les dinosaures

Hello, I've approved your submission, you can now see the result here. A this stage, there are still some details that need to be fixed :
- following the french usage, the title should be _Les dinosaures_ instead of _Les Dinosaures_ (see on cover), same for the titles of the short stories that should follow the french usage (no caps except for the first word and proper nouns)
- the pub date can be more precise as per last page, in this case october 1999
- the pub format should be set to "tp" as the book is more than 19cm tall
- the price should be entered as "F10.00"
- the number of pages should be set to 126 which is the last page of the text proper (the AI, DL & printing data's page doen't count in the ISFDB standards)
- the page numbers for the stories are the numbers of the first page of the text, not the range, e.g. 57 for Silverberg's text
- the field "Pub. Series #:" can be valued to 328 in this case (it's the book number in the publication series, the "collection" in French)
- the introduction should be disambiguated (Lehman probably wrote more than one) by giving it the tile _Introduction (Les dinosaures)_
- the stories' dates should be left blank, so that they'll take the date of the publication itself
- concerning the stories, they (or their english publications or previous translations) can be found in the ISFDB : Barshofsky here, Asimov here, Silverberg here they have to be merged (when the french translation already exists) or varianted (when it doesn't) a step we can undertake later, the Carsac (first published in Fiction #222, 1972) and the Lehman (in Bifrost #5, 1997) are first entries in the db and should be dated accordingly to their first occurence
- if you have the book (or a continous access to it), you can become its primary verifier (by using "Verify this Pub" on the right menu) and can also upload a scan of its cover (by "Upload cover scan" on the middle of the page)
Hope all this isn't too much for now, please feel free to ask any question. Hauck 12:39, 8 May 2013 (UTC)

Without answer from you, I've made the requisite changes. Hauck 15:11, 27 May 2013 (UTC)
