Welcome!

Hello, Tjeffress, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Mhhutchins 20:00, 10 August 2014 (UTC)

Editing

Verified or not, the roman numerals were wrong. Tjeffress 20:06, 10 August 2014 (UTC)

I'm not sure which publication you're referring to. Please provide a link to it and we'll be able to discuss the situation. Thanks. Mhhutchins 23:45, 10 August 2014 (UTC)
Or was it a reference to the potboiler Welcome message that was posted here? That's the same note we place on all new users' talk pages. It's not meant to be anything else or pointed directly at any specific edit. Mhhutchins 23:49, 10 August 2014 (UTC)

Yeah. It was the generic welcome message. I had done edits before and never got the welcome message, so I thought this was specific to my recent edit. Tjeffress 12:53, 11 August 2014 (UTC)

Tales From High Hallack, Volume 1

I have accepted your addition of content to Tales From High Hallack, Volume 1, but have made a change to a couple of records. For generic titles like "Introduction" and "Acknowledgements", we disambiguate the titles by adding " (PUB TITLE)" to the title. This simplifies the author listings when there can be many of these. So, I've added " (Tales From High Hallack, Volume 1)" to both of these. By the way, we typically don't list "Acknowledgements" unless they have significant content. Thanks. -- JLaTondre (talk) 20:11, 16 August 2014 (UTC)

Thank you for the feedback. Tjeffress 20:16, 16 August 2014 (UTC)

No problem. We do appreciate your submission. ISFDB has some conventions that need learning, but everything should be in the help links in the welcome message above. We hope you will continue to contribute. And please let us know if you have any questions (ISFDB:Help desk is a good resource for asking). -- JLaTondre (talk) 12:27, 17 August 2014 (UTC)
