Welcome!

Hello, Sonofthe, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Stonecreek 12:11, 8 March 2014 (UTC)

Review of Australian Fiction: Volume 9: Issue 2

I'm holding your submission to add a record of this issue to the database. Is this a speculative fiction or general fiction magazine? If the latter, it must follow the entry standards explained here. Also, are both of the stories you've given as contents in the submission speculative fiction? I will hold the submission under you're able to respond to this message.

To respond to this message, click on the "[edit]" link to the right. Enter your response in the dialogue box which opens. Start your message with a colon (:) which separates and indents it from the previous message making it easier to follow the discussion. In successive messages, add another colon to the number in the previous message. End your entry with four tildes (~~~~), which will automatically "sign" and date your message. Then click the "Save page" button. When someone has left a message on your talk page, you will be notified by a highlighted "My Messages" link when you log into the ISFDB. I have placed a "Watch" on this page so that I will be notified when you respond. Keep all discussions on the same talk page on which it begins. Do not respond on the other person's talk page. Thanks for contributing. Mhhutchins 00:00, 9 March 2014 (UTC)

It's been a week, and I've yet to get a response (I would have emailed you to inform you of your user talk page, but you didn't provide us with an email address.) So I'll make the changes based on my best guess. If it's incorrect, please make a new submission to update the publication record. Mhhutchins 23:55, 16 March 2014 (UTC)
I apologize. I thought I wrote a response here, but now I don't see it. Thanks for going ahead with the update, I'll take a look. Sonofthe 07:09, 18 March 2014 (UTC)

The End Is Nigh

Submission addng this record to the database was accepted, but the following changes were made to comply with ISFDB standards. These standards are explained in the help pages which are linked in the Welcome section above. A field-by-field guide can be found here.

  • Pub binding/format was changed from "pb" to "tp" which indicates a trade paperback (more than 7 inches tall).
  • Link to the cover image was changed to Amazon. We don't have permission to link to the website you had linked to.
  • The link to the Amazon listing was removed. There is a dedicated link to other websites in the side menu.
  • The data entered into the publication series field was removed. "The Apocalypse Triptych" is a title series, and the data was transferred to the title. This explains the differences between the types of series.
  • The introduction was disambiguated in order to avoid the merging or confusion of generically-titled works. It was changed to "Introduction (The End Is Nigh)".
  • The type of the introduction was changed from NONFICTION to ESSAY. The first type refers to book-length works of nonfiction. The second refers to nonfiction works which are contained in a larger work.
