Welcome!

Hello, PaperbackScienceFiction, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!.--Dirk P Broer 21:42, 16 December 2019 (EST)

A World of Difference

I'm holding your edit to A World of Difference. What is the source for the cover credit? When data is not from the publication itself, the secondary source needs to be listed in the pub notes. Thanks. -- JLaTondre (talk) 21:52, 16 December 2019 (EST)

I found the image on the artist's Flickr site. I have accepted the edit and added a publication note providing the source. Thanks for finding this. -- JLaTondre (talk) 21:34, 19 December 2019 (EST)

Aliens!

Hello. Concerning your submission, are you absolutely sure it is not actually printed "Gaghan" on the back cover? Seeing it is between quotes, I believe it is a printing error, and thus should not be updated. Regards, MagicUnk 15:12, 28 November 2020 (EST)

It's two months without an answer, so I've rejected your submission. If you'd stumble upon this remark later, do leave a note here - by pressing the edit at the right of this message's title - or over at the Community Portal, and one of the moderators will pick this up. Bob Petillo

Hello, I have your submission on hold for a moment, as I was wondering if you could scan the cover of your copy and upload that to replace the current image? If you don't know how, ask over at the Community Portal. There's always someone to help you with any editing task you may want to perform. Also, if you have the publication in hand, consider primary verifying (see the left-hand menu when you have the publication displayed). Primary Verifying signifies that you confirm all the information is accurate per the book. Oh, and I've also sent Bob Petillo an email to confirm he's the artist - never hurts to be certain :) Thanks, MagicUnk 14:30, 15 August 2021 (EDT)

Over two months without an answer (never got an answer from Bob Petillo either). I've approved your submission - if you would read this message someday, please upload scan of your cover and primary verify the publication record. Thanks! MagicUnk 16:20, 16 October 2021 (EDT)
