The Final Arbiter

Hello and welcome again,

I have your submission on hold because I have a few questions before approving it

  • Is that a novel or a novella? We go strictly by the number of words and from what I saw in the preview, it does not seem to cross the 40K words boundary so it looks like short fiction but can you confirm?
  • The author name on the title page of the book is Mark Rivera so this is what will need to go into the record here. Do you happen to have a different copy with the complete name on it (as I suspect that it is your book, I can understand the desire to use a proper form of one's name but we go by what the books actually printed)
  • The book is published in 2011. But you added also a story from 2016. Which is not exactly possible. Can you clarify when was that last story added and how is the author name spelled on top of that?

There are a few more irregularities with the record but I can fix those once approved (and explain what needs changing) but I need the above answers so I know how to proceed. The conventions here may take awhile to get used to so don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have. Thanks! Annie 13:43, 2 May 2018 (EDT)

Hi, and welcome. I am helping Annie with this submission and the one below while she is away. If you answer her questions, I'll help get these taken care of. Please ask if you have any questions or are not sure what to do. Thanks! --MartyD 22:12, 4 May 2018 (EDT)
I sent email. Look Inside shows Mark Rivera but does not allow searching, so I can't tell about length and/or whether "First Mover. First Maker." appears in its entirety. Also, for the question below, Look Inside doesn't show the review. --MartyD 08:33, 20 May 2018 (EDT)
I have received answers via email:
  • The Final Arbiter is a novel. The book does not contain First Mover. First Maker..
  • Credits in The Final Arbiter were "Mark Rivera", but there was confusion with another person of that name, so later credits switched to "Mark A. Rivera".
  • The Kurt Sass' review did not appear in First Mover. First Maker.. That review is available here and also appeared in a print edition.
I will accept the submissions and fix them up. --MartyD 06:55, 21 May 2018 (EDT)

First Mover. First Maker.

I have this one on hold as well with a few questions:

  • Is that the same story that you added to your other book?
  • Is the review printed inside of the book? Or is that review a review of the book?

Thanks! Annie 13:53, 2 May 2018 (EDT)

See above. --MartyD 06:59, 21 May 2018 (EDT)
