Welcome!

Hello, IslandTime, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!.--Dirk P Broer 19:56, 17 June 2019 (EDT)

Magazine

Hi, I see that you have some difficulties entering data into isfdb. 'Emerging Worlds' is the name of the magazine, 'Wait on Eight' is the name of the story in that magazine: As the author states on his web page "Read my work online here: Wait On Eight, published in Emerging Worlds Magazine (March 2019)". See our wiki on how to enter a magazine and the stories within it. 'Title Data' as you used here should hold the title data for the magazine.--Dirk P Broer 20:06, 12 December 2019 (EST)

It is perhaps a good idea for you to look at a magazine publication in 'edit' mode and do nothing but look how things have been entered. Then close it and open the magazine title in edit mode to do the same.--Dirk P Broer 20:13, 12 December 2019 (EST)
You can also look how 'Mindwig' is presently entered.--Dirk P Broer 09:24, 13 December 2019 (EST)

The Fourth Vertex

A few changes here:

  • When an ISBN starts with 979, it does not have a corresponding ISBN-10 so Amazon assigns is B-ASIN. These are needed for the links to Amazon to work so we add them for 979 ISBNs when known
  • Added a cover while I was there - you can change it with your own if you prefer.
  • When a synopsis is copied from somewhere, it needs to be credited - see the help page.

The result is here. Let me know if you have any questions and/or concerns. Annie 16:04, 29 September 2021 (EDT)

Same notes for The Third Redux. Annie 16:06, 29 September 2021 (EDT)
Same notes for Barnacle Passage plus fixed the format (it was unknown), added list price, added sources in the notes (mandatory if you are not working off a book) and fixed a typo in the series name (was Relam instead of Realm). Annie 16:10, 29 September 2021 (EDT)
