Pattern for Conquest information

Hi. I picked up your proposed changes to Pattern for Conquest. I am going to cancel that submission and do things a little differently. If the price is not on the book, what we would do is record that information in the notes instead of in the price field. Here, the price comes from Tuck (a secondary source), so we'd make the note be something like "No price on book; price per Tuck...". And if Ed Cartier did the cover, we make that the Cover Artist (instead of putting the information in the notes). A question for you: How do you know it's an Ed Cartier cover -- is there a signature or credit somewhere, or is that identification based on something else?

You can reply here: Edit this section and indent your response by adding a colon (":") at the beginning of the text. Thanks, and thank you for contributing. --MartyD 11:26, 24 June 2014 (UTC)

Hi MartyD - the cover is the same as the Dust Jacket on the hardback - I recognise it (and Ed's style)
Great, thanks. So what we do in cases like this, where the publication doesn't (or isn't known to) provide the information but we have it from somewhere else, is to record the source in the publication's notes. In this case, we would do something like "Cover art the same as on the hc, credited to Ed Cartier.". I will go add that, so just something to keep in mind for the future. Thanks! --MartyD 12:37, 25 June 2014 (UTC)
