A.P. Schreckenberger was born near Chicago, IL on October 28, 1985. He began writing stories in his Kindergarten class at Willard Elementary School in River Forest. Adam graduated from Oak Park & River Forest High School in 2004 and attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for four years. In 2005, Schreckenberger decided that creative writing would best serve as his hobby and chose to fulfill the requirements needed to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics.

Currently, Adam is a graduate student at the University of Minnesota, where he is pursuing a Ph.D. in Physics as a member of the MINOS (Main Injector Neutrino Oscillation Search) collaboration. When he finds the time, he works on his latest writing project: McCallister Chronicles.
