Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.
Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

Editing Verified Publications
When contemplating changes to primary verified publications you must first consult with any active verifiers. See How to change verified publications. I am forced to reject the following submissions A Hat Full of Sky, Wintersmith and I Shall Wear Midnight. No attempt was made to contact the PV's (both of which are moderators). All is not lost. If you contact them and they agree with the changes, your submissions can be unrejected and approved. Don't get frustrated, it takes time to learn the system. Ask if you have questions. The Stars Blue Yonder
When the fields are greyed out, that means that there is more than one book using this title record. In such cases, you need to add the new cover and then remove the old one from the book (two separate steps) and then once the new cover record exists, they need to be varianted to each other. About your note here - as none of the PVs is active, we can only do two things:
- Add a note explaining the discrepancy in the date and the source of the date you are proposing
- Just add a note that the date is suspect without speculating about a new date (with as much details as possible)
Chances are that it was a bad copy/paste - but without the PVs around, we really cannot re-verify. Annie (talk) 16:37, 10 April 2023 (EDT)
