Welcome!

Hello, Gomihead, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Mhhutchins|talk 23:03, 28 March 2016 (UTC)

Pyre

I'm holding your submission to add a publication for this title. The data you've provided doesn't match the listing on Amazon.com. Their listing co-credits C. M. Stultz. Also, they don't give the publisher as Amazon.com, but as "CreateSpace". Their "look-inside" doesn't give a publisher credit at all.

There are a few more problems with the submission: the price field gives the unnecessary "USD". The currency symbol "$" when used in ISFDB records is understand to stand for US dollars. Also, a softcover book that is taller than 7 inches should be entered as "tp" (for trade paperback) instead of "pb" (which stands for a mass-market format paperback.)

Also, you gave a link to the Amazon listing in the cover image URL field. That field is for the URL of the image file, not the webpage.

I can correct all this if you can confirm the changes that I've given here. Thanks. Mhhutchins|talk 23:11, 28 March 2016 (UTC)

Yep, Pyre is definitely co-written by my good friend C.M. Stultz. We did use CreateSpace to publish, I just assumed that it was the same thing as amazon.com. Doesn't matter to me if publisher is left blank or credited to CreateSpace. I tried to grab the URL to the cover image from the zoomed-in state of the amazon listing, perhaps I didn't do it correctly. All of your questions and corrections seem accurate! Submission accepted. Here is the record as amended. Please check it over to see if the data is correct. If not, use the "Edit This Pub" link to make corrections. If OK, please do a primary verification of the record. (Explained in the Welcome section above.) Thanks for contributing. Mhhutchins|talk 21:53, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
