Author:Dave Hoing

You seem to be using the Author:Dave Hoing to record a bibliography of Dave_Hoing. This is better done by entering the various works into the actual database, so that they will show up on searches by author and title, and appear on our automatically generated bibliography pages, such as Dave Hoing's page.

If you want help in learning how to enter these or other works, just post a message on my talk page, or on the help desk, and I or another editor here will be glad to assist as much as possible.

Thank you for wanting to help keep the ISFDB up-to-date. -DES Talk 18:38, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

I see you are continuing to update Author:Dave Hoing. I also see that we have only three of these works listed in the actual database. You really would do better by entering these in the actual database. See the links above, or Help:Getting Started for more information on how to do this. -DES Talk 23:32, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
I also notice that a good many of your stories are listed under the name David Hoing. Which of these is your prefered name as an author? There seem to be rahter more recorded under "David" than under "Dave" -DES Talk 23:38, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
We really would like to get your work recorded in the database proper, rather than on the Author:Dave Hoing page. Please give us a hand in that. Also, are all of the works you have listed on the page Speculative Fiction (Sciecne Fiction, Fantasy, or Horror, or related genres)? -DES Talk 14:12, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
I see you are continuing to update Author:Dave Hoing. I have formatted the entries into a table and removed the entries that are already in the ISFDB database. Really, this is not the best way to record your work -- far fewer people will see it, and it is not accessible to the ISFDB's search routines. -DES Talk 23:31, 22 September 2010 (UTC)
