Welcome!

Hello, Hierath, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!Kraang 01:54, 24 November 2010 (UTC)

In Exile

I accepted your submission for In Exile and adjusted it a bit. Instead of "paperback" I made it "tp" for "trade paperback" (as we distinguish between those and mass market paperback - "pb"). Also, the cover image link you supplied didn't work - I think it was a link to the page the image was on rather than the image itself. But we don't have permission to use www.epress-online.com's images directly anyway, so I made a local copy. The last problem is that you didn't specify a currency for the price: you quote "7.99" but all I can see on the website is "$14.98"?
Thanks for editing! BLongley 17:03, 24 November 2010 (UTC)

Eagle of the Kingdom

There were similar problems with Eagle of the Kingdom, which I fixed the same way. So the only question again is the price. BLongley 17:07, 24 November 2010 (UTC)

Dark Spires

With Dark Spires, I could find the price and have adjusted that. I'm guessing it's trade paperback rather than mass market size, and adjusted that. Was I right?
I put the full-stop/period in Gareth L. Powell (you had "Gareth L Powell") as we regularise names a bit to make sure they get one bibliography rather than several.
The last problem is particularly awkward - we have two Colin Harveys. I figured out that this anthology was by Colin Harvey (1960-) rather than Colin Harvey (1971-) so adjusted that as well. Not something a novice should attempt, I'm afraid - but keep editing! BLongley 18:58, 24 November 2010 (UTC)

Dark Spires

Hi! Yes, Dark Spires is edited by Colin Harvey (1960-), but it is mass market paperback size, not trade paperback. In Exile and Eagle of the Kingdom retail for £7.99 in the UK.

Thanks, I've made the corrections for you. BLongley 23:23, 10 April 2011 (UTC)

The Feline Queen'

I accepted the submission adding this new pub, but had to make some changes to conform to ISFDB standards (see the links in the Welcome section above for further help.):

  1. Changed pub format field from "trade paperback" to "tp"
  2. Corrected the URL for the cover image
  3. Changed the date field to match Amazon's date
  4. Removed the "synopsis" as it was written as a blurb. Standards state that the synopsis be impartial.
  5. Gave Amazon as the source of the data. If you have the actual book, you can remove this notice and verify the record. Otherwise, we ask that editors please provide the secondary source if they don't have the book itself.

Also, if you have a book, please consider adding the contents, using the "Edit this Pub" function under the editing menu. Thanks for contributing. Mhhutchins 17:45, 10 April 2011 (UTC)

Rider

Thanks for submitting this! I have detailed the date of publication as stated at Amazon UK. Alas, the link you entered is one we don't have permission to link to. Maybe you can upload an image? Thanks, Stonecreek 04:55, 24 November 2014 (UTC)
