Bio:Gary LaSasso

I see that you created this page, which I presume is about yourself. I have copyedited it a bit, to conform to our policy and guidelines on biography pages. I added our standard biography header. I changed the page from a resume style to an article style.

I note that while you mention numerous cover art credits in your biography, only one is listed in our database. Perhaps you would care to enter the missing information into the database. The links above, and Help:Getting Started, should be useful in doing this. If you have questions on how to enter information, or how to use th4e ISFDB, please feel free to ask at the ISFDB:Help desk. Again, welcome. -DES Talk 20:38, 27 September 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for correcting my errors in editing your Bio page. My apologies for the errors. -DES Talk 04:03, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
Oh, just by the way. I currently live in New Jersey, but my parents live in Unadilla, NY, and I drive through Walton and Downsville each time I visit them. My HS played against Walton regularly. -DES Talk 04:10, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

Do you sometimes get credited "LoSasso"?

I presume you're the Gary LaSasso we already have here, but we have a Gary LoSasso as well. If those are really by you as well, please feel free to point us in the right direction - we've been a bit lax on illustrators compared with authors, it seems. :-/ BLongley

Yes Bill. All the Covers done for Bantam Books by Me, are listed as Gary LoSasso.
Thanks. -DES Talk 03:51, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

Wiki features and conventions

If you start a paragraph on a wiki page with an indentation (indeed with any white space) it appears unwrapped in a display format intended for program code and other special circumstances.

It looks like this, and can go on and on to the right without ever being wrapped, no matter how long the text is. It doesn't work well for discussion.

Therefore, please do not start ordinary text with spaces or tabs.

To indent an entire paragraph, sart it with one or more colons (one for each level of indentation.

This is an example of an indented paragrapjh, Note that the entire paragraph, not just the first line, is indented when this technique is used. That's just the way it works.
This line is indented two levels.

It is the custom on this wiki, as on some others, including Wikipedia, to indent resposes in discussion threads using the colon technique. If a thread goes on long enough that the indents are getting too large for comfort, somone may choose to return to a zero indentation, usually starting the first such paragraph with "(Unindent)". This helps keep track of who is saying what in a discussion thread.

You can find out lots more about wiki editing techniques at Help:Editing and the other pages in Category: Wiki Help, if you want to. -DES Talk 04:00, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
