Welcome!

Hello, Dbara43, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! -DES Talk 22:08, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

shortfiction records

I see from Bio:Dave Bara that you have several works of short fiction published, but the only one we have on file is "The Nightwalk". If you have the information on the publications of your other works (as i presume you do) and if they are speculative fiction, please do enter them into the database. See the links above, and Help:Getting Started. If those don't give enough information to enter these works, feel free to ask at the Help desk. Again, welcome. -DES Talk 22:16, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

Author data

I have approved the addition of your legal name, e-mail and image, but I am afraid that our software doesn't support "Never!" as a valid death date :( Also, can we assume that we have your permission to link to the Flickr image? Thanks! Ahasuerus 16:13, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

"The October Man"

Just to let you know that I have reviewed your submission of "The October Man" and as far as I can tell the e-zine that it was published in, A Fly in Amber, is not downloadable. At this time we do not catalog non-downloadable e-zines due to their inherent mutability -- see Rules of Acquisition -- so I had to reject the submission. Ahasuerus 19:21, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

Author image

The link you added to the author page for Dave Bara was an invalid link. It was for the webpage and not the image itself. Because Flicker doesn't allow "deep-linking" to image files, I had to remove the link. But I will copy the photograph and upload it to our server, then link it to the author page. Please keep this in mind when linking any image files on servers other than the ISFDB. We must have permission to link to those files. Thanks. Mhhutchins 19:15, 6 July 2015 (UTC)

Here is the file I uploaded. All uploaded image files to the ISFDB server require a license. In this case, I added a license stating that the image was copyrighted by Dave Bara. I am assuming that you are Dave Bara and have given us permission to use the photograph on this website. If that's not the case, let me know and I'll delete the file. Thanks.
