The Morrigna + Witch Hunt

Hello. Could you give us more info about the prices of the two books as they seem a bit odd and could you tell me or fix the pub format of Witch Hunt (hc, tp, pb etc.). If you could also read the Help pages about Image linking permissions it will explain which sites we have permission to link to. Thanks.--Chris J 05:27, 12 January 2014 (UTC)

Hello. I got the prices from the Amazon print edition listing. Witch Hunt is a tp. I'll check out the help pages, I thought since the author sight would be a verified source that would be ok. I'll spend some more time working with the help and tutorial info. Corybk 01:00, 14 January 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for responding. When providing pricing data, it should be what is stated in the book. If there is no stated price, you can give the Amazon list price, not the sale price. That's usually the one that's struck through below the sale price. You must then give the source for the price in the Note field. In fact, any information that is not stated in the book must be sourced in the Note field.
About cover image links: the ISFDB records "deep-link" to other websites, which means that by displaying it on our records, we are drawing bandwidth from their server and not ours. Some websites restrict this or downright forbid it. That's why we need to have permission to link to those images. If there is a cover image on Amazon, we can link to it. Or you can scan the publication's cover and upload it to the ISFDB server, and then link the file to the publication. I'll replace the links in the records if they are on Amazon. Thanks for contributing. Mhhutchins 01:15, 14 January 2014 (UTC)
Oops. I see someone has already changed the links to the images on Amazon.
I have changed the list price and gave Amazon as the source. Mhhutchins 01:19, 14 January 2014 (UTC)

Thank you for fixing them for me. Still learning but this is a great site and resource! Corybk 23:37, 15 January 2014 (UTC)

If I want to complete the rest of the listing with the bio is it acceptable to use what is on the author's Amazon author central listing? If there are links to websites on that Amazon listing should I remove them from the bio? I am assuming the author info on Amazon would have the same access as any images or book info but I don't want anyone to have to clean up the info if I input it. Thanks Corybk 23:48, 15 January 2014 (UTC)
You should only link author-specific pages to the author's summary page. You should not link the Amazon listing to the publication record. (That's already done with the links under the "Other Sites" menu.) Go to the ISFDB page for Rachel Rawlings and click on "Edit Author Data" link under the Editing Tools menu. In the Web Page field enter the complete URL of the webpage (including http). If you want to link to another webpage click on the "Add Web page" button. When entering dates in the ISFDB use the format YYYY-MM-DD. Someone born on January 1, 1950 would be entered as 1950-01-01. If you have anymore questions, they should be posted on the ISFDB:Help desk, where there's a greater chance that someone will be able to answer it sooner than if you post on your own talk page. Thanks. Mhhutchins
You also have the option to create biography and bibliography pages for the author which appear on this wiki. Look at the links at the top of the author's summary page. Clicking on the first one: "Biography: Bio:Rachel Rawlings" opens a window in which you can create a biography. It should be short and objective. Use the other link: "Bibliographic Comments: Author:Rachel Rawlings" to create a page to discuss various bibliographic matters concerning the author which can not be easily added to publication records.
