Margaret J. Anderson (born 1931)

The Library of Congress (2017-03) gives birthplace Lockerbie, Scotland, which her biography shows to be mistaken. Her family lived there during World War II.

She had studied biology and genetics, worked as a statistician, lived in Oregon with husband and four children in the 1960s. "At first I wrote nonfiction." Magazine articles, especially nature writing for children.

LC online catalog includes 25 records (some multiple eds.), more than half non-fiction. The earliest is Exploring the Insect World (1974), which she identifies as her first book, followed by To Nowhere and Back (1975) T1329050, her first fiction book. (Encyclopedia of Fantasy calls the latter her first book. LCCat does not cover all of her books.)

According to her homepage updated 2016-07-17:

"So I'm happy to announce that To Nowhere and Back and In the Keep of Time are back in print with Lychgate Press, with more titles coming soon."

Jena Anderson is not one of the four named 1960s children, plausibly a granddaughter.

Lychgate Press credits Anderson with 25 books as of 2016.
