Hello, I'm sorry but had to reject some of your submissions. You'll be able to access them and my reasons via the "My Rejected Edits " link. Mostly it concerns changes to publications that you don't seem to own without citing your sources (see above), addition of data pertaining to another printing (e.g. data about the second printing of Flight in Yiktor in the first printing's notes). As we have many idiosyncrasies, perhaps is it better for you to wait for the result of each submission (for the time being of course). [[User:Hauck|Hauck]] 10:19, 5 February 2017 (UTC)

Welcome!

Hello, Wollman, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Hauck 18:58, 4 February 2017 (UTC)

Love Beyond Body, Space, and Time

Hi, thanks for adding & verifying the paperback copy. I have two queries... Firstly, I've changed the date to 2016-09-15 according to information from the editor's website; is there anything in your copy indicating that that isn't correct? Secondly, the ebook edition has the title of Grace L. Dillon's essay as "Beyond the Grim Dust of What Was to a Radiant Possibility of What Could Be: Two-Spirit Survivance Stories" at the head of the essay, with the shorter title in the table of contents. Could you check your copy, and change the record to the longer title if it's there? Thanks --Vasha 03:37, 5 February 2017 (UTC)

The Abyss Surrounds Us

Hello, I've put your submission on hold. If you have a physical copy of the book, it would be better to Primary Verify it (meaning that you have access to the book), if not please give your sources. Thanks for contributing. Hauck 10:01, 5 February 2017 (UTC)

I thought, perhaps erroneously, that I shouldn't "verify" a publication when the details shown in your database do not match the copy in my hands. If you have a different practice, please advise, as it's not at all obvious. Wollman 18:09, 5 February 2017 (UTC)
In this case, you're right not to verify the publication. The question is now: "Where does your data come from?". You can't modify data (even unverified) without giving a justification.Hauck 18:29, 5 February 2017 (UTC)
It comes from the copy of the book in my hands, as I said. Wollman 01:05, 6 February 2017 (UTC)
