Welcome!

Hello, Ronaldo, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! MagicUnk (talk) 15:20, 9 December 2022 (EST)

Hello,

Can you share your sources for this update? Thanks and welcome again! Annie (talk) 13:11, 20 December 2022 (EST)

With no response and no source (and I cannot confirm it online), I had to reject the edit. If you come back and provide a source, I will be happy to unreject and approve - we only add information which is publicly available. Thanks! Annie (talk) 12:44, 5 January 2023 (EST)

Die Stadt am Ende der Welt

Hello. First of all, apologies for the long delay in getting your submission approved. In addition, I have a couple of questions/comments:

  • author and artist names are standardized - there's (almost) always a space between initials. Hence, not R.S. Lonati, but R. S. Lonati --> best to always search on (a part of) the name to see if it already exists in the DB. Additionally, I've updated to Rudolf Sieber-Lonati, as that's how it's written on the copyright page (Amazon's LookInside)
  • Providing a source for the data you're entering is mandatory. Use the Notes field for that. Any additional info as to why you are modifying/adding data can go in the Note to Moderators field. Providing that info makes it much easier for the moderators to review and approve (or reject) your submission(s). As you've noticed, not providing that info causes huuuuge delays of the approval of your submission... I checked Amazon DE to confirm your entry is, in fact, accurate :)
  • We have approval from Amazon to directly link to the cover images they're hosting. I've done that for you.
  • Format: I couldn't find a paperback version of this publication anywhere (not even on the publisher's website), so I updated the format to ebook, and moved info on no of pages to the notes field. By the way, anything larger than 18 cm is tp (and not pb) - see the rules for details. If there's a paperback edition, clone the ebook pub record, update fields as needed, and submit.
  • Should not be title series, but publication series. Blitz Terra Science Fiction already exists in the DB, so I've updated the pub record to read just that (and removed it from the title record)
  • Price: also no idea where you got that, so removed that as well. Again, submit an edit if you have a source.
  • Also added date (day, month) and ISBN from Amazon DE

As a final note, do read through the material provided in the welcome message above. It's a good starting point to get to understand the rules the ISFDB abides by. Also, do not hesitate to ask questions over at the help desk or community portal. regards, MagicUnk (talk) 12:03, 5 January 2023 (EST)

Michael Schenck

Hi again. Can you provide source for this edit that I've put on hold? Thanks, MagicUnk (talk) 12:12, 5 January 2023 (EST)

I've not received a response, hence rejecting your submission. If you happen to have the source of your edit, do not hesitate to reach out to me on my talk page, or over at the moderator's noticeboard. We can then resurrect your submission. Regards, MagicUnk (talk) 14:29, 23 February 2023 (EST)

Zukunftsgeschichten ?

A question about this change: Is the author credited in the book or do you rely on a secondary source for the attribution. Depending on that, we handle the update differently. Annie (talk) 12:40, 8 February 2024 (EST)

There is no credit for the editor inside the book. Secondary sources almost all give "uncredited" as the publisher. Only one source gives Hahn and another source mentions Alpers as the editor. Ronald M. Hahn can be regarded as a credible source. Rudolf Rudam (talk) 09:07, 12 February 2024 (EST)
