Borderline by Vercors

I rejected the submission adding the NEL edition of this title as it already has a record in the database. You may have missed it because of how the database structure handles variant titled works. We established that the parent title is Les Animaux dénaturés, the original French title. There are three English titled variants: The Murder of the Missing Link, You Shall Know Them and Borderline. A record is established for each title, under which publication records are created. All of the publications will appear under the parent title record, while only the same titled publications will appear under the variant title records. Mhhutchins 15:28, 21 March 2010 (UTC)

I did miss that, sorry. It's not in the list of the NEL SF Master series, so I thought it wasn't in the database. Serves me right for starting with something with multiple variant titles. Rocambole 23:20, 21 March 2010 (UTC)

Adding publications to title records

I accepted the submission adding a new publication of You Shall Know Them but had to remove it from the title record that you entered it under: Les Animaux dénaturés and placed it under the correct title record: You Shall Know Them. Before using the "Add Publication to This Title" function in the editing tools menu, make sure that the title as transferred to the entry screen matches the title of the publication you are entering. If you have to change either the author or the title you're entering it under the wrong title record. If you're not sure, use the "Add New..." function under the add new data menu. Thanks for contributing. Mhhutchins 15:37, 21 March 2010 (UTC)
