Regarding [http://www.isfdb.org/cgi-bin/mod/submission_review.cgi?5276839 this submission], your comment states that "''This is wrong. The Fantasy sampler was all original, and had nothing to do with the original print edition of Issue 7, which was mocked-up but never published. The stories from Issue 7 (print) eventually showed up online. The sampler was simply titled FANTASY and counts as Issue 7 of Fantasy Magazine (online).''" If you read the {{P|437176|publication notes}}, you will see that is what this record is for. The pub notes state "''This issue was originally published in Summer 2007 as an anthology called FANTASY (978-0809556991), which was intended to serve as a sampler for FANTASY MAGAZINE. Ebook edition from November 2013.''" That is why it is dated 2013 and not 2007. The ebook version, titled as Fantasy Magazine, Issue 7, is for sale on the magazine's website [https://www.fantasy-magazine.com/ebooks/ here]. Am I missing something in your submission comment? Welcome!

Hello, ProGloriaPrimi, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! -- JLaTondre (talk) 09:01, 2 April 2022 (EDT)

Magazine Editiors

We credit magazine editors as is stated in the magazine. We then group magazines by year and common editors. If editors changed over time, we have a separate title records for each even if that change happened within a year. From the series entry, you can then see the editors across the whole magazine run. We also have a verification system where editors compare the entries to the publication and will mark it verified if the record matches the publication. I'm holding several of your edits to magazine title records as:

  • Some would impact verified pubs so you need to discuss the change with the verifier first. To do so, you can click on the magazine, then click on the verifiers name at the bottom of the page which will take you to their wiki page. Then click on the "discussion" link at the top and use the "+" link to create a new discussion.
  • While other edits did not impact verified pubs, they did change the title record without changing the publication record. It is not clear if you were trying to change the publication or simply trying to group entries.
  • You provided no sources for these edits.

If you could clarify your intent and provide your sources, I will be able to process the submissions. Thanks. -- JLaTondre (talk) 09:50, 2 April 2022 (EDT)
