Welcome!

Hello, Niriop, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!.--Dirk P Broer 15:47, 11 February 2020 (EST)

The Planets? Sweet...

Regarding this edit: Editing the title date will not resolve the duplication. It will just set them to the have the same date. Instead, the titles needed to be merged. I've gone ahead and done that. Thanks for finding this and letting us know. -- JLaTondre (talk) 20:20, 14 September 2020 (EDT)

Spectral Realms, Winter 2021

Hello,

You tried to add two poems to Spectral Realms, Winter 2021:

  • 43 - Bleak Eden, POEM, Harris Coverley
  • 43 - Sprite, POEM, Harris Coverley

The site does not show them there. What is your source? Also - because it is an ebook, we do not use the page numbers so I will need to know between which already listed poems are these hiding so they show in the correct place. Thanks! Annie 06:23, 12 November 2021 (EST)

My source is the published printed edition. Also: the cited page lists the publication as "tp" (trade paperback), not as an ebook. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Niriop (talkcontribs) .
Yes, it is a tp but if you look at the page numbers, they are not set and instead we have only ordered list from 1 to 63 to keep all ordered. So I need to know between which two poems to insert these. If I put them at 43, they will show up before "A Ghostly Shade of Oil" by Oliver Smith. Is that where they belong? :) Annie 14:04, 16 November 2021 (EST)

Sorry, they would be between "A Miscreation of Life" and "In Vino Veritas". —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Niriop (talkcontribs) .

Done. If you have the page numbers (as you have the book), you can update our page numbers if you want? :) Annie 17:55, 18 November 2021 (EST)

Poems or shortfiction

Hello!

I held back your submissions because I didn't understand why you want to change these shortfictions into poems. If you look inside the magazines, you can obviously recognize that they are short stories, or have I overlooked something. Regards Rudolf Rudam (talk) 12:59, 27 April 2023 (EDT)
I can understand the confusion, but I am the author himself, and those works really are prose poems not short fiction. You can check the listing on my biblio, or ask the editor if you really need to. My wish is only to label things correctly. (If you must blame anyone, blame the late Russell Edson for influencing the style of those particular works.) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Niriop (talkcontribs) .
