Welcome!

Hello, Mdeleon1, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Annie 23:38, 11 March 2021 (EST)

Peter Huddleston & the Knights of the Leaf

Welcome to ISFDB! I approved your submission but a few changes had to be made to bring it to policy:

  • We do not add the series to the title so I removed it. As it will be in the series field, the duplication is unneeded. The exception is when a book does not have its own title
  • We record every format (And printing) separately so I removed the ASIN (As it is for the ebook) and instead added the ebook.
  • I cleared the notes and the links - the author link goes on the author page; the price seems to be only in Amazon.com so added that as a source as well.
  • The format is 6 x 0.34 x 9 inches which means "tp". See this for more details.
  • Added an Amazon cover. If you have a better one to add, please feel free to :)
  • Capitalization: only subtitles start with a new capital letter so the usual rules apply after $ (so "Peter Huddleston & the Knights of the Leaf" and not "Peter Huddleston & The Knights of the Leaf). See the Case section here.
  • Are you sure that this is long enough (40,000 words) to be a novel?
  • You added 2 interviews but I do not see them in the book. Were you trying to add newspaper interviews? If this is the case, they need to be added in their respective newspapers. Or did you try to add the articles instead? In both cases, they do not belong inside of the book.

The result is here. If you have any questions/concerns, please let me know. Annie 23:49, 11 March 2021 (EST)

Blue Cloak Warrior

I accepted your addition of Blue Cloak Warrior, but made changes to match ISFDB standards:

  • Format: I changed the format from "pb" (massmarket paperback) to "tp" (trade paperback) based on the Amazon dimensions.
  • Web Page: I removed the link to the author's webpage. This field is for links specific to the publication. The author's webpage is linked from the author record.
  • ASIN: I removed the ASIN. This was for the ebook. We enter different formats as separate records.

We appreciate your submission & hope you will continue to contribute. ISFDB has some conventions that need learning so please check out the help links in the welcome message above. And let us know if you have any questions (ISFDB:Help desk is a good resource for asking). -- JLaTondre (talk) 10:50, 13 March 2021 (EST)

The same for It Took Billy, Babble Magic, The Light Dweller, & The Covens of Elmeeria. -- JLaTondre (talk) 11:10, 13 March 2021 (EST)
For The Unicorn & Carry the Knight, since these are novellas, they get entered as as chapbooks and not as novels. -- JLaTondre (talk) 11:10, 13 March 2021 (EST)

Name

Hi, please note that we report your name, or your story just as it appears in the actual publication, not the way that you want it to be. If you know us to be wrong, please provide evidence.--Dirk P Broer 13:49, 19 March 2021 (EDT)
