Hi, I changed the attribution back because not only is Richard Clifton-Dey credited here, he is also credited here, and here, which carries more weight than your feeling that it might be Feibush -perhaps they worked together is the same studio, who knows?--Dirk P Broer 21:18, 27 April 2021 (EDT)

OK, thanks for that. I wonder now if the Podkayne cover is wrong, but that's sourced too. I will leave it there, perhaps they did work together! LostInTime 07:21, 28 April 2021 (EDT)

Hello,

I had to reject your attempt to change the ISBN for that book. We are a bibliography site and not a "what is available now" site. So we record every edition of a book. When a book is reissued, we do not update the old edition but instead create a new one. Go to the book, look at the left menu and locate "Clone". Use that to create a new copy for the new ISBN. Thanks! Let me know if you have any questions. Annie 03:28, 17 November 2021 (EST)

: Sorry, I wasn't clear in my submission. I have the 1976 copy in hand. It clearly states "Reissued in this new edition December 1976", references only two previous printing dates (1972 no month given, and January 1973), and has a different ISBN from these. I believe the creator of this record overlooked this and simply treated it as a third printing. LostInTime 06:26, 17 November 2021 (EST)

:: OK - if that is the case, we will need to add a note explaining this (as it is a post PV change and a substantial one at that). Do the rest of the note apply to your copy completely - the listed prices and the notes on the story names? If so, I can approve and add a note; if not, we may be looking at a weird case of a third printing and new edition in the same month. Weirder things had happened. Too bad it is not one of the publishers who puts the ISBN on their front cover :) Annie 14:38, 17 November 2021 (EST)

: What concerns me a bit is that ours says "Third printing" and yours says "Reissued in this new edition December 1976". Ours may still be a mistake but... who knows - someone did add it with a book in hand. So I cloned for the new edition (see - here and added a note in the old one explaining the situation. If we ever find out for sure that the edition does not exist, we can delete it - but for now, that seems cleaner - just in case something really weird happened in December and some books did make it out with "Third Printing" on them. Thanks for finding the problem! Do you plan to verify the new edition? Annie 22:40, 19 November 2021 (EST)

Hello. I have your submission on hold for a moment, because recently (March 2022) Username updated the artist to John Richards (this edit), so I'm wondering if there may be a mixup between editions/printings? Since Username didn't provide a source for his edit, I'd think it worthwhile to check in with him on his talk page and ask him where he got the information from - you could also provide a jpg of the cover (and coypright page) there to ascertain you're talking about the same publication. This way, it should be fairly quick to establish what's correct and upload a scan of the cover afterwards. Regards, MagicUnk 08:11, 1 August 2022 (EDT)

:: I remember doing this edit, but can't fathom why I thought it was Richards; I vaguely recall looking at the cover on Bookscans and thinking the partially visible signature looked like John Richards, thus my note about the artist being the same as the other 2 Scottie books on ISFDB (also, https://www.isfdb.org/cgi-bin/pl.cgi?589985, 1 of those Scottie books was entered here with a longer publisher name, so that might need fixing, or maybe the other 2 on ISFDB need the longer name, too). He's right, it's Roger Hall, http://www.djabbic.co.uk/BookCoverDetail.php?filter=2&ID=117&currentBook=3&totalBooks=4&currentEntry=89&totalEntrys=151, so please correct and maybe upload a nice cover so there's no doubt. --Username (talk) 12:43, 8 November 2022 (EST)

Welcome!

Hello, LostInTime, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!.--~~

Ray Feibush vs Richard Clifton-Dey

Hi, I changed the attribution back because not only is Richard Clifton-Dey credited here, he is also credited here, and here, which carries more weight than your feeling that it might be Feibush -perhaps they worked together is the same studio, who knows?--Dirk P Broer 21:18, 27 April 2021 (EDT)
