New image and added a note for [this] ~Bill, --Bluesman 15:37, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

Elizabeth Moon's Command Decision

Price for your book club edition of this title is $12.99, as stated in the SFBC catalog. Month of original publication yet unknown. I'll pull out my 2007 Locus issues later to get the date. (I'll be very happy when Contento adds 2007 to his online listings!) Thanks. MHHutchins 16:35, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

It was March 2007, according to Locus #556 (May 2007), which also confirms the price of $12.99. MHHutchins 19:16, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

Niven & Lerner's Fleet of Worlds

According to Locus #566 (March 2008), the SFBC edition of this title appeared in January 2008 with a price of $14.99. MHHutchins 00:56, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

All-American Alien Boy -- added introduction essays

Afternoon! This. [1]. I added the introduction essays to the stories as shown on essay title page after matching my copy to your ver. Thanks, Harry. --Dragoondelight 22:29, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

This was approved. Kevin, please check your copy against Harry's changes. Thanks. MHHutchins 04:05, 22 August 2009 (UTC)

Added cover credit

I have added cover credit to your verufied [2] from signature.Don Erikson 03:40, 28 August 2009 (UTC)

SFBC edition of John Scalzi's The Last Colony

There are currently three records for the same edition of this title. One is verified by Kevin, but it has the price, date and ISBN of the trade edition (based on info from the SFBC website which gives the ISBN and date of trade editions). Two is verified by Harry, but is undated and has the price of the trade edition. I've taken the notes from both records, added more info from the listing in Locus #558 (July 2007) and created this third record. Would you consider moving your verification over to this last record and deleting your original record? (This has been cc'd to Kevin and Harry.) Thanks. MHHutchins 18:58, 31 August 2009 (UTC)

Moved to Secondary on new template. Adjust to your needs. Thanks, Harry. --Dragoondelight 20:18, 31 August 2009 (UTC)

Thanks Kevin and Harry. MHHutchins 02:44, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

Book club edition of Priest's The Glamour

Bluesman and I were working on the 1985 SFBC wiki listing, when I noticed that you had a submission in the queue for this pub. Based on info from Locus1, we've come to the conclusion that the note that it wasn't a SFBC selection was wrong. (In fact, I believe I was the one who wrote that original note!) In order to avoid a conflict in edits for the same pub record being in the queue, I approved your edit (you added the artist and the gutter code). I then updated the record to reflect the new info. Please feel free to make any corrections or other updates to the record. Thanks. MHHutchins 22:03, 6 September 2009 (UTC)

Added month to date

I added the month to the date of your verified [3] from the copyright page & made note of the 1st printing.Don Erikson 23:00, 10 September 2009 (UTC)

The Year's Greatest Science-Fiction and Fantasy /NOT/ S-F The Year's Greatest Science-Fiction and Fantasy

Morning! This. [4]. Sorry, your most current as "Scott Latham" is unavailable, to my knowledge. First the S-F is only on the cover and spine, Tuck agrees, but that is usual as they did not use the interior book title page, which is what I am using. My copy has on left top front cover "Dell (over) FIRST (over) Edition (over) B103. Top spine has a pink/lavender arrow pointing downward with B103 running downward in it. No printing date on copyright page. Cover by Richard Powers. Copyright © 1956 by Judith Merrill. Title page says "The Year's Greatest Science-Fiction and Fantasy" (over) Stories and Novelettes" (over) "Edited by Judith Merrill" (over) Introduction by Orson Welles", (over)A Dell First Edition. Preface ends with J.M. for Judith Merrill. "The Cave of Night" by James E. Gunn. "Nobody Bothers Gus" by Algis Budrys. "The Year's S-F: A Summation by the Editor" ends -Judith Merrill. "Honorable Mention" Not signed, but with an editorial "I" in opening comments. Would you please see if your copy matches mine? Thanks, Harry. --Dragoondelight 14:22, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

Well, I found the S-F, but it makes it a two-page title page. So they get to be different. The rest still open. Thanks, Harry. --Dragoondelight 21:06, 11 October 2009 (UTC)

Prologue to Analog

My copy of this pub credits John W. Campbell (rather than Jr.) as the editor. Should the Introduction author also by no Jr.?--swfritter 15:02, 19 September 2009 (UTC)

Day break 2150

Think we have the same edition of [this], but mine has an ellipsis instead of a dash on the title page. Can you check yours? If they are the same I'll unmerge and create the variant, or you can. I scanned in a nice image which will be in the upload log. ~Bill, --Bluesman 18:24, 23 September 2009 (UTC)

And here I thought there was a Norton I'd somehow missed, reading your (Bill's) section title! -- Dave (davecat) 01:28, 24 September 2009 (UTC)
I have found one that's not in the DB but it's non-genre, almost non-fiction. "Bertie and May". ~Bill, --Bluesman 01:46, 24 September 2009 (UTC)
Added the new image and expanded the notes. Decided the ellipsis was an artistic touch only and left the title as is. ~Bill, --Bluesman 16:10, 12 March 2010 (UTC)

Fuzzy Sapiens

Found and added the correct image for [this] so deleted the note about the old image being incorrect. ~Bill, --Bluesman 00:42, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

Little Fuzzy

Added cover artist credit, courtesy of ACE Image Library, to [this] ~Bill, --Bluesman 00:59, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

Back to the Moon

I added notes, pagenumbers and contents (Author's Note) to this verified pub to match my copy. There is no cover artist, but the backflap states "Jacket design: Nancy Merritt". I don't think that qualifies for cover artist so I put it in the notes, but if you feel different about this, please change it. Thanks Willem H. 15:44, 5 October 2009 (UTC)

Scalzi: The Sagan Diary -> Nov...what?

Hi Kevin. You verified this pub: THSGNDRGTZ0000. The notes state this is a novelette - and that's how it's referred everywhere else too (although it seems more like a novella to me). But the type of this publication is still novel - as well as all other pubs of this title, since the title itself is still a novel. Would you mind me changing the title to novelette and thus all pubs to chap-books? And I need your advise on another subject. This short is is still listed as unpublished, which is wrong (published in Dec 2005) - I'm going to fix this. The story is part of the "Old Man's"-universe, as I just read on Scalzi's blog. But I'm not sure about the series number. We could insert it between the first and the second book, or add it to the series without a number - but then neither "The Sagan Diary" should have a number. What do you say? Thanks. --Phileas 14:15, 7 October 2009 (UTC)

Worlds of the Federation

I have the SFBC HC of [this] and the page numbers are on the odd pages only, within the little federation communicator icon in the bottom center of each page. Can't imagine them being added just for this edition?? FYI ~Bill, --Bluesman 17:52, 9 October 2009 (UTC)

Special Deliverance - changed page count

Afternoon! This. [5]. Changed page count to match my copy after matching to your ver. Thanks, Harry. --Dragoondelight 19:27, 14 October 2009 (UTC)

Gutter code question

I have a question concerning a gutter code of your verified [6]. You verified a code of "D5" while I have copy the says "D8". Is mine a reprint or is yours a typo? Thank you.Don Erikson 23:10, 1 November 2009 (UTC)

Beggars and Choosers / Beggars & Choosers

I changed the title of this verified pub from "Beggars and Choosers" to "Beggars & Choosers", as it's on the title page. Also added the cover artist and some notes to match my copy. Thanks, Willem H. 20:29, 29 December 2009 (UTC)

Beggars Ride

I added some notes to this verified pub to match my copy. The cover art is credited to Thomas Canty, but in the book his name is spelled as Tom Canty. Should this be changed? Thanks, Willem H. 20:44, 29 December 2009 (UTC)

Battlefield Earth - added introduction/notation

Afternoon! This. [8]. I added the "Introduction", notation, and changed the cover artist to Gerry Grace from Gary Grace after matching my copy to your ver. Thanks, Harry. --Dragoondelight 23:17, 31 December 2009 (UTC)

Ship of Fools

I added the ISBN to the SFBC edition of this title, and moved the ID number to the notes field. Can you please check to make sure that the ISBN is stated in the pub? Thanks. MHHutchins 02:36, 2 January 2010 (UTC)

Manhattan Transfer - replaced broken cover link/added notation

Morning! This. [9]. I replaced a broken cover link, with this, [10], and added notation on artist and LCC# after matching my copy to your ver. Thanks, Harry. --Dragoondelight 13:52, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

The Man Who Sold the Moon - corrected Preface/added notation

Afternoon! This. [11]. I submitted notation on cover artist and changes in the Preface title that no one else seems to see. Thus I added a colon, a period, and an attribution as shown on this and at least one other copy (Signet). All after matching my copy to your ver. Thanks, Harry. --Dragoondelight 21:29, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

Flower of Doradil/Promising Planet

Reworked the notes for [this] Kept the derivation of an ISBN explanation, but since it doesn't get search results put the ACE catalog # back in the field. ~Bill, --Bluesman 05:04, 14 January 2010 (UTC)

Mr. Scott's Guide to the Enterprise

Scanned in a new image and expanded the notes for [this] Also, there are quite a few numbered pages, but only the ones with text. None of the straight graphics pages have a number. Welcome back! Now, just get onto those pesky Fixer submissions, or help me with all those author bibliographies I've found... I'm going to disappear down the pub for a bit and moan about being unemployed, and leave this all in your good hands. BLongley 18:12, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
It lives! (And sorry to hear about the employment situation, Bill. Not that it's much of a consolation, but for what it's worth, the Canadian numbers are every bit as bad and the US numbers are even worse.) Ahasuerus 18:34, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
I've more the opposite problem... too much work time and not enough hobby time ... or perhaps it is too many hobbies. I seem to cycle through them in 6-9 month chunks of time. Kevin 15:09, 25 April 2010 (UTC)

Attila Hejja vs Hejji

Hi Kpulliam & Kraang, I think you have both made the same error based on an attempt to interpret a signature. You both credit the cover of this to Hejji, but as far as I can make out the signature on the photo scans looks similar to the signature posted here for Hejja. A quick net search also supports the latter spelling for his Dragonstar credit. Cheers Jonschaper 01:53, 22 June 2010 (UTC)

Welcome back - the August 2010 version

Welcome back! (Again! :-) Not a whole lot has changed policy-wise lately, but there have been a number of software changes/additions, including magazine grids, publication series, improvements to self-moderation, moderator warnings, "Check for Duplicates" improvements, Forthcoming Books improvements, Author Directory improvements, submission cancellations, magazine searches, improved tagging, etc. All changes are listed over on Development/Archive/2009 and Development/Recent Patches, although many are trivial.
