Regarding [http://www.isfdb.org/cgi-bin/view_submission.cgi?5179955 this submission]: Are all of the contained stories speculative fiction? This seems to be a collection of O'Brien's work and not everything he wrote was speculative fiction? We would only index the speculative fiction contents. -- [[User:JLaTondre|JLaTondre]] ([[User talk:JLaTondre#top|talk]]) 16:10, 25 December 2021 (EST)

Regarding [http://www.isfdb.org/cgi-bin/view_submission.cgi?5179967 this submission]: Unfortunately, I had to reject it as you were creating a pub that already exists in the database. Please edit {{P|784008|this one}} instead. Only speculative fiction contents should be added. If any contents are not speculative fiction, they can be noted in the pub notes, but should not be indexed. Welcome!

Hello, Jpirish, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Hauck 04:16, 6 September 2017 (EDT)

A Mummy Omnibus: 1820s - 1920s

Hello, I've approved your submission but had to make some changes to conform to our standards:

  • changed type to COLLECTION (an OMNIBUS is for us made of novels, which does not seem to be the case here).
  • deleted titleseries info (we're here facing a Publication Series as you also entered).
  • added currency symbol (as you're based in Texas, I supposed USD).
  • changed binding to "tp" as per dimension given by amazon.
  • uploaded a scan.

The result is here. You now have to enter the whole of the contents (vie the "Edit This Pub" link on the left) and add any info that you deem relevant (e.g. that it's the 2nd edition) in the Note field. Thanks for contributing. Hauck 04:37, 6 September 2017 (EDT)

Fitz-James O'Brien: Gothic Short Stories

Regarding this submission: Are all of the contained stories speculative fiction? This seems to be a collection of O'Brien's work and not everything he wrote was speculative fiction? We would only index the speculative fiction contents. -- JLaTondre (talk) 16:10, 25 December 2021 (EST)

William Austin: Gothic Short Stories

Regarding this submission: Unfortunately, I had to reject it as you were creating a pub that already exists in the database. Please edit this one instead. Only speculative fiction contents should be added. If any contents are not speculative fiction, they can be noted in the pub notes, but should not be indexed. Thanks. -- JLaTondre (talk) 16:13, 25 December 2021 (EST)
