Az orchideák bolygója

I accepted Az orchideák bolygója, but it had a invalid checksum for the ISBN. Please doublecheck against the book. I already updated the record and added a note if that is indeed the version on the book. If it was a typo during entry, please enter the correct one and remove the pub note. Author pseudonym recording

Hello. Just an FYI - if you record an author and his or her pseudonym/alternate name, then you not only have to variant the titles, but also have to link both names with the 'Make/remove alternate name' menu item on the left that appears when you've selected the alternate-name record. I've done that for you for the Tibor Bihon <-> Robert Knight (Hungary) relationship. Also, the canonical author name is the name with which he or she is most well known. In this case, Tibor Bihon should be recorded as the alternate name of Robert Knight (Hungary) - the opposite of what it is right now. Let me know by replying to this message (the small 'edit' to the right of this message's title) if you need assistance with switching the relationship around. Hi ! I think I would be able to switch the relationship, but I'm not sure that it would be the best decision. Bihon Tibor used more pseudonyms in his publications. Robert Knight is only one of them. And besides the pseudonyms he also used his real name in some publications. So it is hard to tell which is the best known name. Gabcisoft 13:40, 28 May 2021 (EDT)

Zsoldos Péter

I saw the Péter Zsoldos entry in the database, and I wanted to merge the authors, but I was not sure which name should be the canonical name. In Hungary hi is kmown as Zsoldos Péter, but in the rest of the World probably Péter Zsoldos form is better known.

There is a similliar situation with Fekete Gyula .I also added a book of him to do database while there is an entry for Gyula Fekete Gabcisoft 13:18, 5 June 2021 (EDT)

A tenger tigrisei / Tigers of the Sea

A quick question about this submission. It would make a SHORTFICTION Hungarian title into a variant of an English COLLECTION title. Was that intentional or did you mean to link another pair of titles? Ahasuerus 17:37, 21 July 2021 (EDT)

Thanks for the clarification! I have rejected the original submission and linked the 2012 translation to the 1974 SHORTFICTION record. Do you happen to know if the 1990 Hungarian translation, which is present in another one of your verified publications, was done by a different translator?

Also, after approving this submission, I moved the cover scan URL from the Catalog ID field to the Image URL field. Ahasuerus 18:09, 21 July 2021 (EDT)
