Impossibilia

Hello Douglas - I see that you want to update your book Impossibilia with

• Change the binding from hc to "hc and jacketed hc"
• Change the ISBN from 9781848630017 to "978-1-84863-001-7 and 978-1-84863-000-0"
• Change the noted from
  • "PS Showcase #5: Impossibilia" on the cover.
  • 300 copies printed according to http://store.pspublishing.co.uk/acatalog/PS_showcase_five_impossibilia_hc.html
    to
  • "PS Showcase #5: Impossibilia" on the cover.
  • 100 signed jacketed hardcover and 300 signed hardcover copies printed according to http://store.pspublishing.co.uk/acatalog/PS_showcase_five_impossibilia_hc.html

I suspect what you wanted to do is what we call cloning a publication which would make a copy of an existing record and to change those fields that are different. I've done this and the second publication is here but I have some questions.

• I'm a little confused by http://store.pspublishing.co.uk/acatalog/faq.html and what they call a "hardcover" book vs. a "Jacketed Hardcover". I'll e-mail them but maybe you know the answer. Is the hardcover book floppy like a paperback book? If so, we'd normally call that a trade paperback. Does the the jacketed hardcover have stiff board covers with the jacket over this?
• Are all 100 copies of the "jacketed" edition signed? The web site does not say anything about this though the FAQ implies this is the case.
• Is the November 2008 first edition or printing date stated in the publication?
• Are the prices £10.00 and £25.00 prices printed either on the jacket or the publications themselves or is the price from the web site? It sounds like the dollar price is not stated on the books and they figure it out at the time of sale based on the current exchange rate.
• The title on the front cover is PS Showcase #5: Impossibilia. Is the exact same title on the title page? If not, then what is the title on the title page? How about the spine?
• Finally, assuming the two editions are identical as far as the page count goes.
  • How many pages, if any, are there before page 1? Are these pages numbered with Roman numerals?
  • What's the starting page number for the introduction and each of the stories?
  • What's the page number for the last page? Sometimes the story continues onto a final page that is not numbered. If that's the case then as assume it is numbered and use that.
