In [http://www.isfdb.org/cgi-bin/view_submission.cgi?4960979 the stories you added for this pub], the final one is credited to [http://www.isfdb.org/cgi-bin/title.cgi?2853713 Martian Womack].  Is this an actual typo in the book, or just when it was entered in here?  I've looked at the Amazon preview, and downloaded the sample, but it doesn't have any contents page or other text that would clarify.  However, the Amazon UK product listing (which may have been edited since original submission) does credit the correct name "Marian Womack".  [[User:ErsatzCulture|ErsatzCulture]] 18:53, 10 May 2022 (EDT)

Welcome!

Hello, BrandonCrilly, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!.--Dirk P Broer 11:29, 27 March 2021 (EDT)

Author Data

Hi, I approved your submission, but had to change two things. I changed 'Oakville, Ontario' to 'Oakville, Ontario, Canada' and replaced your author image with one we are entitled to display, from Amazon. I hope you still like it.--Dirk P Broer 11:34, 27 March 2021 (EDT)

True Balance

Hi, I just rejected your submission for True Balance. You need to enter this book that holds as one of its stories 'True Balance'. 'Flip: Frankenpuppy' is the second volume in the 'Flip' series (that information goes in the title record on two separate lines, series and series no.). In the publication record for 'Flip: Frankenpuppy' you can enter all content for volume 2 -so not just your work.--Dirk P Broer 09:15, 30 March 2021 (EDT)

Student English language learners are being left behind,

'This Magazine' is the magazine that needs to be entered, both as title record and as a publication (as there can be more issues for a magazine). Your work is one of the titles in the publication -if it is speculative fiction. If it is, it can be entered in the publication record. But: Please read our wiki on how to enter data. http://www.isfdb.org/wiki/index.php/Help:How_to --Dirk P Broer 09:21, 30 March 2021 (EDT)

2017 Young Explorer's Adventure Guide

I had to reject this submission as it was a duplicate of an existing record (see 2017 Young Explorer's Adventure Guide). Before entering a new publication, please search on the ISBN first to see if is already in the database. I did copy the contents you entered into the existing record. When entering an author's name with initials, there should always be a space after the period (so J.D. Harpley would be entered as J. D. Harpley). Thanks. -- JLaTondre (talk) 19:33, 1 April 2021 (EDT)

Thank you for the notice! I'll make sure to check the ISBN first. BrandonCrilly 09:24, 3 April 2021 (EDT)BrandonCrilly

Flip: Volume 2

I'm holding your edit to add "Flip: Volume 2". This appears to be a graphical work and not prose fiction. Is that correct? -- JLaTondre (talk) 19:37, 1 April 2021 (EDT)

Yes! This is a graphical work. My apologies for the confusion, I'm still trying to figure ISFDB out! BrandonCrilly 09:23, 3 April 2021 (EDT)BrandonCrilly
Unfortunately, I'm going to have to reject it. Our scope (defined here) excludes graphic novels, comics, etc. We only make exceptions for highly notable authors (Neil Gaiman for example). This gets debated every once in awhile so it may change down the road, but for now, it is outside our scope. Thanks. -- JLaTondre (talk) 08:22, 4 April 2021 (EDT)

A Dying Planet Short Stories

Regarding this submission: Looking at the Amazon Look-Inside, the title page subtitle is "Anthology of New & Classic Tales" and not "Epic Tales". What is the source for "Epic Tales"? Thanks. -- JLaTondre (talk) 12:42, 11 April 2021 (EDT)

Hi there! I may have entered the information wrong, so my apologies. I was consulting this link [1]. Thanks! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by BrandonCrilly (talkcontribs) .
Yeah, Amazon is not always reliable. I Have accepted the edit & restored the original subtitle. I also had to make a couple other changes:
  • We do not record page numbers for ebooks.
  • Author names with initials should have a space after the period.
Thanks. -- JLaTondre (talk) 19:52, 12 April 2021 (EDT)

A Dying Planet: Mar[t]ian Womack

In the stories you added for this pub, the final one is credited to Martian Womack. ErsatzCulture 18:53, 10 May 2022 (EDT)
