Hi, and welcome.  When supplying publications credited to multiple authors, use one name per "Author" field, and Add Author to make more such fields available in the form.  If you use "A , B", that ends up going into the system as a single name (including the embedded comma), rather than as names "A" and "B".  Thanks, and thank you for contributing.  --[[User:MartyD|MartyD]] 14:05, 15 June 2014 (UTC)

Yes, I am an employee of Armchair Fiction.  Part of my job is to maintain our web presence, so I will be submitting a lot of titles into the database, and editing old entries.  I do appreciate that when I've made errors you've informed me or corrected them; that is very helpful in assisting me to learn more about this wiki.  I have consulted the owner of Armchair Fiction, Gregory Luce, and he has authorized me to give permission to link to images on our webiste.

Welcome!

Hello, ArmChairFiction, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Mhhutchins 18:59, 6 June 2014 (UTC)

The Genius Beasts / This World Is Taboo

Submission adding this publication was accepted, but several changes had to be made for it to comply with ISFDB standards. You will find those standards linked in the Welcome section above.

  • The author credit was changed from Gregory Luce to the authors of the contents.
  • Publication date was changed to 2014-05-18, based on the Amazon listing.
  • Separate content records were added for each of the two stories.

Thanks for contributing. Mhhutchins 19:12, 6 June 2014 (UTC)

Latest batch of submissions - 2014-06-13

Sorry about the delay! We are working on them and hope to have everything reconciled on Sunday. Thanks for contributing! :) Ahasuerus 04:26, 15 June 2014 (UTC)

Multi-author credits

Hi, and welcome. When supplying publications credited to multiple authors, use one name per "Author" field, and Add Author to make more such fields available in the form. If you use "A , B", that ends up going into the system as a single name (including the embedded comma), rather than as names "A" and "B". Thanks, and thank you for contributing. --MartyD 14:05, 15 June 2014 (UTC)

Permission to link to http://www.armchairfiction.com/

Would it be safe to assume that you are the publisher of (or otherwise affiliated with) Armchair Fiction? And would you be in a position to give us permission to link to images hosted by the Armchair Fiction site? TIA! Ahasuerus 19:23, 15 June 2014 (UTC)

Rejection of non-spec-fic works

Works which have no speculative fiction content or that do not qualify under special rules of exception (documented here) are not eligible for the database. I have rejected the submissions to add a couple of mystery novels. Thanks. Mhhutchins 17:58, 16 June 2014 (UTC)
