Vile Things

Since there is already a [record] of this book, and the US edition has the same ISBN, I cloned the existing record and added the data you submitted to create [this record]. By doing it this way, all of the contents are shown. As to your changes to the title record, I kept the synopsis, but on anthologies that state an editor [some don't] that's the only name that goes in the "Author" field. It's unfortunate that the software displays the name as "Author" in the title record but it is correctly shown as "Editor" in the publication record. Ravens in the Library

This was very interesting! Lost count of the websites I tried before finding one that showed the complete contents. Managed to dig up some more data on the publication itself from OCLC and managed to put together [this] record. I'm really hoping you have a copy and could add the page numbers so the contents display in the correct order. Right now they just show up in the order I typed them in [Ok, I cheated and copy/pasted them all!!]. Entered the song lyrics as poems as we have no other way other than 'shortfiction' which didn't seem appropriate. I am curious what the title is on the Title page, as that's what we use regardless of what the cover says. I am also curious as to how Brucato's contributions are listed, whether as by "Phil" or "SatyrPhil" as I ran across him referenced both ways for this book. One small thing: "tp" is the short-form we use for "trade paperback". The "Help" pages links above can explain most of the intricacies of editing here. Always feel free to ask questions. Electronic media

Hi, Angel! Is there a section in this wiki for e-zines or electronic publishers, or is it all limited to print material? You asked this of me and I'm afraid it's an area of the DB with which I have virtually no knowledge. The inclusion/exclusion of strictly electronic books/stories/magazines/etc. has been discussed, mostly on the Rules & Standards page and I'm not really 'up' on the outcomes. We do include electronic versions of print media, whether ebooks/Kindle/etc. E-Zines have been discussed, and mostly rejected until the particular E-Zine proves stable. At least that's my understanding. The Help Desk may be the best place to ask your question. I apologize for not responding sooner, but the question was posted on a page that quite a few editors have set up for minor edits and posting on such does not generate the "Message" flag that a posting on the normal talk page would. Any questions, whether to a specific editor/moderator or just general ones should be posted to Talk pages. That way they will get noticed as soon as that person logs in. I do remember entering the publication in question but without a book in hand the designation/credit for Brucato wasn't clear as sources had it both ways. The Rules of Acquisition say "Out - Web only publications such as webzines. The problem for us is that they are not durable; anything we index could change, be reorganized, edited, updated with new versions or revisions, and so on." but there was a later amendment that says "In - On a provisional basis, the Helix and Clarkesworld webzines have been added primarily because they received Hugo nominations, and Subterranean Online has also been added as an SFWA qualifying publication. Other webzines may be added based upon criteria yet to be determined, a primary one being the willingness of editors to update data in a timely manner."

As Bill says, ebooks are fully in -- i have entered many such. look at Publisher:Project Gutenberg for some guidelines, some but not all of which apply to ebooks in general.
