I had to reject [http://www.isfdb.org/cgi-bin/view_submission.cgi?5300719 this submission]. We create new publication records for each printing. So instead of editing this record for the 20th printing, please clone it and create a new record for your 17th printing. You will also need to unverify the record you were editing and instead verify the new publication. Thanks. -- [[User:JLaTondre|JLaTondre]] ([[User talk:JLaTondre#top|talk]]) 10:07, 30 April 2022 (EDT)

Concerning [http://www.isfdb.org/cgi-bin/view_submission.cgi?5361948 your submission]. To me it seems you own a [http://www.isfdb.org/cgi-bin/pl.cgi?181325 first printing of the first edition]. So, I'm wondering what made you decide to clone the BCE record, instead of verifying (and updating the notes where appropriate) of the first printing? Is there evidence that confirms you have yet another edition/printing that what's already available in the ISFDB? <br>

Also, FYI, if you'd update a primary verified record it is good practice to inform the PVs on their talk page. You could check in with Willem H. or Chavey, as they have PVd the first edition so can help to determine whether your copy is the first edition printing or not (I myself wouldn't rely on the page no. difference without confirming). Welcome!

Hello, 1970PlumbCrazy, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! MagicUnk 12:41, 29 July 2021 (EDT)

Conquest of Earth

Hi! Can you check page 128 and see if there is a date code like the 1972 edition[1]. Thanks.Kraang 23:24, 22 October 2021 (EDT)

Flying Saucer from Mars

I rejected this edit as this pub is already in the database here. Please note, when adding authors, the author name should be given in the same format as the publication (normally FIRST LAST order) and a role should never be added. If it is a pseudonym, only the pseudonym as shown on the title page should be entered. We use variants to show the relationships between pseudonyms and true names. I question whether this book even belongs in the database. We used to enter any book reviewed in a speculative fiction magazine. We have changed practices since the early days, however, and only speculative fiction books or books about speculative fiction should be entered (there is an exception for non-genre books for well known speculative fiction authors). This does not seem to meet our current inclusion standards. Thanks. -- JLaTondre (talk) 07:52, 24 October 2021 (EDT)

Macrolife

Added notes re uncredited interior art for this. --Mavmaramis 06:17, 20 November 2021 (EST)

Space Relations

Would you mind looking at your copy of this and see if the title page actually reads "Space Relations: A Slightly Gothic Interplanetary Tale"? If it does, please change the title to match. Thanks! Phil 07:41, 1 March 2022 (EST)

The Puppet Masters

I had to reject this submission. We create new publication records for each printing. So instead of editing this record for the 20th printing, please clone it and create a new record for your 17th printing. You will also need to unverify the record you were editing and instead verify the new publication. Thanks. -- JLaTondre (talk) 10:07, 30 April 2022 (EDT)

The Snow Queen

Concerning your submission. To me it seems you own a first printing of the first edition. So, I'm wondering what made you decide to clone the BCE record, instead of verifying (and updating the notes where appropriate) of the first printing? Is there evidence that confirms you have yet another edition/printing that what's already available in the ISFDB?
Also, FYI, if you'd update a primary verified record it is good practice to inform the PVs on their talk page.
