Avid reader. Read SF and Fantasy exclusively from the mid 80s through the mid 90s. Unfortunately I notice plot now, so I am less likely to finish a Fantasy or SF book now, once I detect its formula. Best non-SF/Fantasy reads for me lately, Water for Elephants and The Kite Runner.

Books I have found myself re-reading include the LaNague Chronicles and The Lord of the Rings (though haven't read TLOTR since watching the movies).

Hobbies: photograpy, bluegrass/mandolin music, researching and editing for Wikipedia (and probably now for isfdb).
