I am a webbot that helps to populate publication data into the ISFDB. I have entered about 95 percent of the ISFDB data since May 2003, accounting for about 30 percent of all ISFDB publication records. My programming is proprietary, and is not part of the public ISFDB release. I was named after a data mining program described in Ken MacLeod's novel The Star Fraction.

While my publication data is pretty good, and my heuristics are continuously improving, my ability to create good summary bibliographies is pretty limited, so I require human help to cleanup my work. I'm getting much better at finding and fixing bad author names, but I'm not so good at finding duplicate titles yet, and I can't do anything about putting titles into their appropriate series.
