My name is Dirk Broer and I am a long-time reader (somewhere in the 1970s) and collector (somewhere in the 1980s) of (mostly English and American) Science Fiction.
So far I visited one WorldCon (the Hague, 1990), but I plan to do more. I have an extensive collection (3000+) of 1950ies, 1960ies, 1970ies and 1980ies SF, and I try to keep up with more modern publications (the other 1000+ publications in my collection, stopped counting 20 years ago as it interfered with my reading, just counting shelves these days).
I've found out that I can buy quicker than I can read though....there is that constant 10% unread books in my collection--Dirk P Broer 21:01, 5 April 2011 (UTC)

I do not just read SF, I also read about it. These reference books are in my collection. If there's anything that you'd want me to look for, just inquire.
