Not doing this type of template?  What if we decide that having color 1 for A, color 2 for P, color 3 for T, and color 4 for every thing else is better?  It just feels like you are going template happy, with templates inside of templates, when all you really needed was to cut n paste something 4 times. :If we decide to have separate colors, that change can be implemeted easily enough, and will be deliberate. But if we want to retain teh unity of color (which i thoing would be better, having too many significant colors is generally poor design, it is much better to have only one place to change so that things do not get out of sync by accident. And as tempaltes withign tempaltes go, this is very mild. -[[User:DESiegel60|DES]] [[User talk:DESiegel60|Talk]] 11:46, 12 October 2008 (UTC)

::Why don't we mention the fact that this is probably misnamed since it is currently always included withing a style attribute and could do many other things besides just color. And it seems to me this would be far better implemented using a class attribute and tweaking the default CSS stylesheet so people could override such easier. This defines the color for the templates that create links to ISFDB database records. Changing this will change the color of all such links, all over the wiki -DES Talk 20:56, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

Not doing this type of template? What if we decide that having color 1 for A, color 2 for P, color 3 for T, and color 4 for every thing else is better? It just feels like you are going template happy, with templates inside of templates, when all you really needed was to cut n paste something 4 times. Kevin 21:06, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

If we decide to have separate colors, that change can be implemeted easily enough, and will be deliberate. But if we want to retain teh unity of color (which i thoing would be better, having too many significant colors is generally poor design, it is much better to have only one place to change so that things do not get out of sync by accident. And as tempaltes withign tempaltes go, this is very mild. -DES Talk 11:46, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
Why don't we mention the fact that this is probably misnamed since it is currently always included withing a style attribute and could do many other things besides just color. And it seems to me this would be far better implemented using a class attribute and tweaking the default CSS stylesheet so people could override such easier. Uzume 16:43, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
