Documentation for Template:PD-author (Transcluded from Template:PD-author/doc)

This template is used when the author of an image (or other work) has released it into the public domain with a notice published or distributed somewhere other than the ISFDB wiki. It takes two parameters:

• Author, which should be the name or identifying handle or pseudonym of the author/creator of the image; and
• Notice-loc which should be a URL or citation to a published statement by the author releasing the work, or (failing that) some record of when and where the release occurred.

This template implies that someone other than the author/creator has uploaded the image to the wiki and applied the license tag.
