British publishing company founded by Paul Hamlyn in 1950, although didn't publish much SF till the second half of the 1970s. Mostly paperbacks, but did some hardcover reference works too. Now part of the Octopus Publishing Group, owned by Hachette Livre.

Usual ISBN prefix 0600, but also shares the 00993 prefix with Arrow and Legend.

The 1981 Duncton Wood edition [3] states that the Paperback Division is: Hamlyn Paperbacks, Banda House, Cambridge Grove, Hammersmith, London W6 0LE. This is the only publication checked so far that didn't have "HAMLYN SCIENCE FICTION" on the cover. BLongley 16:23, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
